Mike Evans is Becoming an Elite WR

This time last year, Bucs fans were labeling receiver Mike Evans a bust as he was struggling with drops, penalties, and keeping emotions in check. Some Bucs fans went as far as possibly trading the young receiver and getting someone else to pair with Jameis Winston. Most forgot that Evans still put up over 1200 yards receiving and had 74 receptions which was better than his rookie season. Evans is still learning the game as he has only been playing football for 5 years now. Not many have the size and speed combo that Evans has and it really just comes down to him learning the mental aspects of the game.

Well this off-season, Evans really matured as a player on and off the field and put in tons of work on his body and his game as receiver. Evans cut his weight down to 225lbs making him faster and quicker off the line. Him and Jameis workout together often to build chemistry on the field and so far this season it has showed. In other words, Evans had an great offseason and is starting to become an elite receiver in this game. He has been uncoverable so far as he has 32 receptions for 449 yards and 4 touchdowns in just 5 games. Jameis calls him a superstar and so far he is showing it every week and if healthy this is just the beginning for Mike Evans. I think every Bucs fan would agree now that Mike Evans is a beast and will continue to rise as one of the best receivers in the game.
