Mike Glennon Chatter

Mike Glennon is still a Buccaneer as of now but the smoke is still in the air with possible trading destination for his services. NFLtraderumors.co had a nice piece about Glennon and what rumors are swirling around.
Adam Schein of NFL.com spoke to one GM who said that Buccaneers QB Mike Glennon would be a “perfect fit” for the Jets.Glennon is the perfect fit for the Jets,” the GM told Schein. “Good arm. Good fit in [Chan] Gailey’s offense. Younger and better than [Ryan] Fitzpatrick.”
Another GM went as far to say that he’d take Glennon over Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill right now.“If you gave me a choice of Ryan Tannehill or Mike Glennon, give me Mike Glennon,” said the GM. “He’s smart. He has a great reputation as a worker. He’s a middle-of-the-pack starter in the NFL.”
The GM also added that he believes Glennon is worth a second-round pick.
Schein takes a look at six speculative landing spots for Glennon in a potential trade including: the Rams, Jets, Broncos, Cowboys, 49ers, and Bills.
Glennon is a popular name right now just like every back up quarterback is until they actually begin to start and show what they really are. Jason Licht has a big decision ahead of him with Glennon. Although Licht survived the Lovie Smith firing he still is on the bubble with every decision he makes, as the Bucs have yet to have a winning season since 2010 and we all know the Glazers don't have much patience. The NFL truly stands for Not For Long and in my opinion Licht has to get as much as he can for Glennon while he is a hot commodity.

If Licht could get a pick in any of the first 3 rounds for Glennon I believe he should pull the trigger. Licht wants starters in this draft and Glennon right now is our back up QB with no chance of taking over. Get what you can Licht and for those concerned with our backup QB position, don't count out Ryan Griffin whom the Bucs claimed off waivers from the Saints last year.

Is Ryan Griffin Ready To Be The Backup Qb?

With the trade rumors swirling around Qb Mike Glennon, the Bucs would need his replacement if they decided to trade him before the upcoming season. Enter third year Qb Ryan Griffin, whom the Bucs picked up off waivers last year and was on the 53 man roster throughout the 2015 season. Head coach Dirk Koetter talked about Griffin today at the Owner's meetings, and feels Griffin has a chance to be a rising player per Scott Smith.
Koetter went on to say Griffin has worked really hard with quarterbacks coach Mike Bajakian, and possesses a strong arm to go with a very high football IQ. Koetter likes the touch Griffin has on his throws and that he asks a lot of questions per Rick Stroud.
He spent a lot of time with Mike (Bajakian). He really throws the ball well. He's got nice touch, we call it ‘turn the ball over.‘ He turns the ball over nice. We're always looking for guys who can ‘turn it over,' is how we say it. He works at it every bay. We're in our game plan meetings and this guy is asking as many questions as Jameis. Sometimes I have to say, "Griff, relax a second.' But we have a limited amount of film to look at in the preseason (with the Saints) but we like what he did."
It feels like Mike Glennon is going to be moved before the draft or on draft day, and it looks like the Bucs have his replacement already in place.
