Koetter Demands Juice!

Dirk Koetter expects one thing from his players at all times and that is energy. He calls it juice and for the second time in the last two weeks the offensive unit came out flat which is just unacceptable. Koetter is trying to get his offense to play with tempo and pace on an consistent level because that is what the good offenses in the NFL have. Dirk Koetter was not happy and let the media know right away per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
"No juice. No juice," Koetter said. "No one wanted to practice today. ... We had balls tipped, we had poor throws and we had bad protection. Bad combination. ... Overall, a bad day on offense. I wasn't on the dfefensive field and Coach (Mike) Smith said we did fine over there."
I love this because it reminds me of Jon Gruden and how he would always say "you better bring juice everyday or it's going to be a long practice". Koetter is straight forward and won't hesitate to let guys know that they need to pick it up. I expect the offense to come out firing tomorrow but this should be an everyday thing as players should have the energy and motivation for every practice. I'm glad Koetter is holding these guys to an higher standard because they need to bring it all the time not just once in a while. Better bring the juice or as a player you might be seeing the bench under coach Koetter.
