Fresh news from the Combine still shows that there is a strong connection between the Bucs and Doug Martin, evident by Jason Licht's words earlier today, per Rick Stroud
Doug made it clear earlier this month declaring that he "loves Tampa". Tampa absolutely wants you back as well Doug but you have to bend a little with that contract. Jason Licht has total control of this roster and wants to bring Doug back for new head coach Dirk Koetter, only if its a contract that won't devastate the team as a whole. The franchise tag is still an option but hopefully they can hammer out a reasonable contract that can satisfy both sides.
