Bucs looking at Shon Coleman

According to Greg Auman the Bucs wanted to take a closer look at Auburn Tackle Shon Coleman.
Shon Coleman is an animal at the Tackle position and has the "I'm going to take you out" attitude. He thrives on playing the run as he's always looking to take someone out yet he is athletic enough to pass protect against faster edge rushers. What I like most about Coleman is the length of his arms, at 35 1/8 inch arms are longer than average and can keep edge rushers at bay. Versatility is huge in the NFL and Coleman had no issues playing both the left and right side at Auburn and frequently can be seen in tape switching mid game.

Although his fits the height and weight of an NFL tackle many teams may shy away from him because of his age and past medical history. Coleman was diagnosed with Leukemia and eventually beat it but cost him 2 years of eligibility. He will be turning 25 his rookie season which may be a negative for some teams but to me the dedication and effort he had to go through to beat cancer speaks volumes to him as a man.

If Coleman were to fall to the 3rd round, I would look for Licht to jump all over him. A man with his size and versatility is rare and I could see him eventually taking over the right tackle position. Licht is looking for starters and he sure could be one of them.

Check him out here against a strong Ole Miss defense.
