The NFL Draft is only 14 days away, and teams are now beginning to review their draft boards to make sure everything matches up with their evaluations. Bucs Gm Jason Licht has his draft board set as his staff along with the coaches are now finalizing all their written reports which will hopefully land the Bucs another great draft class. Coach Koetter gave a little insight on the draft process and how hard Licht and his staff work so hard and really put in the hours to get this right.
Then the next step is that we get together with (General Manager) Jason (Licht), the coaches get together with Jason and his guys and we watch some film together and we stack the board – Jason stacks the board and we watch him.
“But the coaches have input on that and I thought it was very, very productive in the part that I sat in on last year. I’m looking forward to getting in there – I’ve watched a lot of tape and of course Jason and his guys, that’s all they do – and getting our coaches in there and that’s what we’ll be doing right up until a couple days before the draft.”Great insight here by coach Koetter in which the coaching staff does have input, but Jason Licht and his staff still lead the way. Its good to see that the front office is working together with the coaches to make sure they get the right players for them which will make this team even better. Only 2 weeks away from the draft, Jason Licht and Dirk Koetter will be ready and hopefully will have another great draft like last year.
