Houston CB Could Be In Play At 9

The draft is a week away and it looks like its going to be exciting one as there has been two big trades to change the top of the draft. The Rams and Eagles are locks to take Qb in Jared Goff and Carson Wentz and it's possible the Browns take will take a Qb as well in Paxton Lynch. Three Qb's go in the top ten would be great for the Buccaneers.
If this does happen, an impact defender could fall right into Tampa's lap at 9th overall. DE Joey Bosa or LB Myles Jack would be ideal for the Bucs, or they could go offense if one of the top tackles in Laremy Tunsil or Ronnie Stanley are available. However, lets say those four are not available and the Bucs can't trade down, and they are not in love with the pass rushers available where would they go? I feel the Bucs could turn to the secondary and take the best cornerback on the board and it's not Vernon Hargreaves from Florida.

Houston cornerback William Jackson has been highly regarded among the scouting community and when its all said and done he will be a top 15 pick. Jackson has the size at 6'0 along with plus speed and quickness allowing him to collect 5 interceptions and 23 pass breakups in 2015. Jackson would be great fit in Mike Smith's aggressive style defense where he would be allowed to play man or zone and be a playmaker for this team. Jackson is a weapon on special teams as well as he can do punt returns if needed. If the Bucs do go this route the team would have solid depth at corner with Grimes, Jackson, Banks, Verner, and Josh Robinson. Not saying this will happen, but it is always good to take a look at every scenario and this draft looks to have many that could play out.
