Bucs Sign RB Jacquizz Rodgers

The Bucs signed an familiar face today in running back Jacquizz Rodgers who played with Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter in Atlanta from 2012-2014. Rodgers is still young at age 26 and knows the offense in which he can provide more speed and a player that can make defenders miss. The Bucs are signing Rodgers to a one year deal per Jenna Laine of Espn.
Rodgers can also return kicks as he has an 24 yard per return average with an 77 yard long in his career. With Rodgers being 5'6, he is low to the ground and can make defenders miss with his quickness and agility which makes him a threat as a returner. Rodgers can also be an weapon out of the backfield as a receiver where he had over 50 receptions in 2012 and 2013 under coach Koetter. Rodgers provides the team with more depth at the running back position and upgrades the special teams unit as well. This is another solid move by the Bucs as it gives this team another proven veteran who can make an impact right away.
