Get Jameis Going Early

For some reason, Bucs Qb Jameis Winston has struggled to get in rythem early during his short football career. It was an issue at Florida State and so far it has followed him as a Buc. Today against the Rams, Jameis needs to find a way to get off to a quicker start and get comfortable early. I suspect coach Koetter will try to get Jameis on the move with some rollouts to set up some one read throws. Jameis just needs to stay under control to begin the game and play his game by making good decisions.

With Doug Martin out today, I hope Koetter goes with a more spread type offense and go with more quick timing routes like screens, slants, comebacks, and dig routes. Koetter and Jameis need to find success early and keep it rolling today against the Rams. Stay committed to the run game and hit the short passes that will be there, and then take shots down the field later in the game. It's important the Bucs spread the ball around today, but also keep going with what is working. Move Evans and Jackson around to create mismatches and attack it. Get Jameis off to a good start and the Bucs should take control of this game right away.
