Roster Projection

With the preseason officially over for the Bucs, it is now time to make decisions on who is going to be on this roster come September 11th. The Bucs have to make 22 cuts by Saturday 4pm which is always tough as everyone has worked so hard over the last couple of months in hopes of making the final roster. With that being said, some of these guys will make other rosters or practice squads as well as potentially returning to the Bucs at some point during the season. Rosters are fluid and are always changing especially during the season. Here is my roster projection and feel free to comment below.

  1. I like it! Well thought out and it does add up to 53. One big problem though, TE. The TE position is a mashup of FB or Hback and a more traditional TE. You're only carrying 1 Hback. So you have to add another one D.Vitale. Now I'm a player heavy so I'll cut Banks. IMO the Bucs like Robinson's upside more. Besides that just minor switches. OL Wester for Allen. DL Francais for Mathews. Finally LB Glanton for Keyes. This is the 1st roster prediction I've seen, thanks for putting it out.

    1. Thanks for the comment..Good points I think Vitale could make it again depends on numbers and what the coaches want. I have Banks on the roster due to the bucs playing more nickel and dime which means more 6 db sets. I have Mathews and Allen on the roster due to versatility and both have played well... Glanton could make it as 7th lb if the team feels Bond will be out longer than expected..Keyes is over him as of now due to play. Go Bucs!

    2. Can't argue with that. Guess will see. I left th WR position alone because I don't think the 4th/5th WR is on the team right now.

    3. Agree there, I think the Bucs add some players from other rosters through waivers. WR,DT could be the targets.

  2. Spot on again. Don't forget if the Bucs wait till after week 1. Any veteran they sign their contract isn't garunteed the entire season. WR move might come then.
