Yesterday, the Titans traded for running back Demarco Murray who needed a changed of scenery as he wasn't a good fit with the Eagles. Last off season, the Bucs had interest in Demarco Murrary as they were willing to sign him, but the Eagles offered a huge contract and that was the end of that. Here is a tweet per Charean Williams saying Bucs were one of the interested teams.
Now fast forward to today and according to the NFL Network, the interest in Murray was still there as the Bucs were one of the teams calling the Eagles about a potential trade. How much interest was there really, we will never know. It will be interesting to see how the Bucs and the running back position plays out. According to Ian Rapport, we could get answers today on the position.Jaguars, Bucs, Raiders and Eagles have all been mentioned in running for DeMarco Murray in last few minutes.— Charean Williams (@NFLCharean) March 10, 2015
I found it very interesting that the Titans passed on Doug Martin since former Buc executive Jon Robinson is their GM now, who is a very good talent evaluator. It either means Martin is looking for a ridiculous contract, or something is off with Martin. Just remember Bucs fans, Jason Licht and Robinson are good friends.Today may be about RBs, with markets heating up for Doug Martin, Chris Ivory & Lamar Miller (who #Texans & others have strong interest in)— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 8, 2016
