Market Heating Up For Conte?

Bucs safety Chris Conte was one of the more consistent players for the team last year. He wasn't spectacular, but played decent for the most part. The Bucs have mention before that they would like to bring him back and think he could provide solid play for the secondary. He put up decent numbers with 79 tackles, 2 ints and 6 pass breakups, however was inconsistent as was the whole secondary. With free agency starting today, it looks like the Bucs will have competition for Conte's services. Per Rand Getlin of the NFL Network says Conte will explore the market before making a decision.

I think bringing Conte back on a one to two year deal wouldn't be a bad move, as he can provide depth and be a decent starter for this team. It is good to see that Bucs free agents are garnering interest from other teams, which is usually not the case.
