Bucs Resign Star Running Back!

Last night it was reported that the Bucs were nearing a deal with pro bowl running back Doug Martin, who had over 1,400 yards rushing along with 7 tds.  Well today the Bucs sealed the deal signing him to 5 year deal worth 35 million with 15 million guaranteed. Roy Cummings of TBO.com had the news first.
Bucs GM Jason Licht stay true to his word in that its all about draft, then develop, and finally resigning them. He has done that so far with Gerald McCoy, Lavonte David, and now Doug Martin.   Per Greg Auman, here is Jason Licht on signing Martin back.

I couldn't agree more as Martin was my number one running back target for the Bucs as it just made too much sense to keep him here. This should make Martin even better with having continuity on offense now. Most importantly, him and Jameis will help each other thrive, which should lead to more wins for the Bucs. Its a good day in Tampa Bay!
