Bucs Say Brent Grimes Is Immediate Upgrade

When the off-season started, we knew the two biggest needs for the Bucs were pass rusher and secondary. Yesterday, the Bucs attack those needs by first signing former dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes. Bucs Gm Jason Licht calls Grimes an immediate upgrade to the secondary per Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.
I like this move by Jason Licht and the Bucs, as it is a really good fit for this team, and he is player that can have an impact right away. Grimes knows Mike Smith's defense since he played for him when he was with the Falcons. Another positive is Grimes is familiar with the division, and has gone up against NFC south receivers before which is good for the Bucs. This is a good short term move for the Bucs as it allows them to improve the secondary as well provide more flexibility in the upcoming draft.
